Mobile Spy is proud to announce the availability of BlackBerry monitoring software with a LIVE Control Panel. This powerful software gives you the ability to learn what your child is doing on the BlackBerry.

Mobile Spy will help parents learn about their child's smartphone activies. You will learn about your child's calls, text messages and GPS locations by logging into your Mobile Spy account from any web browser. Now you can view all photos taken by the phone too!

After the software is setup on your phone it will save SMS and call activities and then insert the information to your private Mobile Spy account. The software also logs GPS locations every 30 minutes when signal is available.

This high-tech monitoring software will allow you to see exactly what they do while you are away. Are your kids texting while driving or using the phone in all hours of the night? Are your employees sending company property? Do they erase their phone logs? That won't matter because the software instantly saves the information before erasing is possible.

Mobile Spy towers above the rest by offering the world's only LIVE Control Panel. Unlike anything ever seen in the mobile monitoring software industry , this innovation allows you to securely perform LIVE monitoring and control on your smartphone from anywhere.

If you choose to purchase our premium plan, you can view the device's screen like a television along with a map of the current location instantly. Also included are other instant commands such as initiate a normal call or send an SMS from the device.

Also included are SMS Commands which allow you to send commands to the monitored device by an SMS message. Get the current GPS location, SIM information, Lock or Unlock the device, Wipe the device and more.

Need the ability to have logs sent to your email? Our add-on allows you to do exactly that. You can have selected logs sent at any interval you choose, such as hourly or daily. Included in the premium plan is the ability to instantly email your logs to your address within the LIVE Control Panel.

Android apps are now available for download on the BlackBerry PlayBook thanks to a new OS 2.0 software update. The update began rolling out Feb. 21, and it's free to all PlayBook owners. The apps won't come from the Android Market, instead, they'll be offered through the BlackBerry Appworld once they are ported over. So far, there are only a couple hundred that run well, but as more developers convert their apps for the QNX system, more popular apps like Words With Friends will be available.

In BlackBerry® 10, BlackBerry® Protect™ is a feature built into the OS. For smartphones running on BlackBerry® 7 OS, BlackBerry® 6 OS and earlier versions of BlackBerry® Device Software, BlackBerry Protect is a free application you can download on your smartphone.

Maybe you’ve just misplaced your smartphone. Lock and display a message on your smartphone Home screen for whoever may find it. Then locate it on a map and go get it. 1 Or if you think your smartphone is nearby, simply force it to ring at full volume.

The number-one smartphone platform in the US, BlackBerries had apps years before the iPhone was a twinkle in Steve Jobs's eye. What BlackBerries have never had, though, is an easy way to discover and install those apps.

Some of them are available on BlackBerry App World, which you can download onto any Berry by sending your mobile browser to . Some of them are available through the independent store GetJar, at Some are only downloadable from developers' Web sites. So you need to do a bit more digging to find great BlackBerry apps than you need to for, say, iPhone or Android apps.

That said, we've found some good, free apps for almost every recent BlackBerry. This list is by no means exhaustive. If you know of other great free BlackBerry apps, please tell us about them in the comments section below.

You can find some of the same apps as on every platform, like EverNote, Shazam, Yelp and UrbanSpoon; other apps take advantage of the famous BlackBerry security - and the business audience is the reason tools like Xobni came to BlackBerry first.

You won't need ShortCutMe once BlackBerry 6 comes out, but for now it's the easiest way to make shortcuts on your home screen to favourite phone numbers, apps, Web sites and commands (like turning Wi-Fi on and off). A little garish but very useful.

You can't get a BlackBerry with an FM radio in but you can stream radio stations from around the world (the US selection is better than the UK as there are no BBC stations) - see what's playing, see the lyrics and if you like it, buy the song, with Nobex . The sound quality is excellent and you can stream over Wi-Fi for hours at a time (it works over 3G but check your data costs). The premium version has more stations but the free version has plenty to listen to.

Another streaming radio app, miRoamer promises some BBC stations but we couldn't get them to play. Other stations played happily, with good quality sound, but it doesn't have half the features of Nobex.

Put the Didiom Pro app on your PC and you can stream music onto your BlackBerry; the free trial only gives you five songs, your PC has to be on, you'll probably have to tweak your network to make it work and the interface is clunky but $10 isn't a lot for your own personal streaming service.

Music WithMe doesn't stream music to your BlackBerry; it pushes chosen playlists from your ITunes library into the Music WithMe service and then downloads them to your handset over Wi-Fi or 3G so you don't need to be online to play music - but the download can take a long time if you transfer a long playlist. Handy but quite a pricey way to avoid plugging in a cable.

VLC Remote Control has complicated setup (expect to tinker in the .hosts file), cryptic shortcuts and a minimal interface, but when you can sit back on the sofa and control the excellent VLC media player on your PC over Wi-Fi from your BlackBerry it's worth the effort.

Browse a mobile version of the BBC iPlayer site and play TV shows in the BlackBerry iPlayer ; you can watch BBC TV channels and listen to BBC radio live or pick shows from the last seven days. You need Wi-Fi to enjoy watching, but this is TV in your pocket.

You're ready to start loading all your favorite BlackBerry applications ...but you find that many aren't yet compatible with the Torch—or at least you can't download them from BlackBerry App World or the vendors' sites.

It's true, lots of quality BlackBerry apps are not yet available for RIM's latest and greatest: Pandora for BlackBerry ; Amazon's Kindle app ; LinkedIn for BlackBerry ; the list goes on. But I was able to find a handful of great apps that are available. Check out the following slides for a list of nine valuable applications for the BlackBerry Torch 9800. Best of all: You'll never have to open your wallet; all of these BlackBerry apps are free.

This great, free BlackBerry app lets you quickly grab screen shots from your RIM smartphone. Simply open up your BlackBerry menu at any time and choose the Capture It option or assign the app to a convenience key for easy access. Screen shots are saved to your BlackBerry Torch's picture library. (Note: Screen shots for this slide show were taken using Capture It.)

Google Maps for BlackBerry is a treasure trove of valuable features and information packed into a single mobile app. Find walking, biking, driving and public transit directions; view your location on a map; find nearby business listing; search by voice; check out satellite imagery of your area; view traffic alerts; and much more.

RIM's BlackBerry OS has a built-in low-battery indicator, but it doesn't let you customize your own battery-alerts. In comes Plug It In, a free BlackBerry app that works on the Torch 9800 and lets you choose when you want to know your battery is low: 20 percent; 30 percent; etc. You can also choose to receive audible alerts and accompany them with custom LED colors.

RIM's BlackBerry OS "condenses" e-mail messages to reduce strain on wireless networks and speed up delivery. Flight Mode for BlackBerry downloads all additional content needed to view "truncated" BlackBerry e-mail before you turn off your device for flight. Just activate Flight Mode before your plane takes off, and the app downloads additional content, turns off wireless connections and powers down your BlackBerry. Turn it back on in-flight, and you're good to go.

Sure, you can search the Web using the search section of your BlackBerry browser's "start" page, but why would you when you could employ Google's Mobile App for BlackBerry? Besides offering a less cluttered search-interface, Google Mobile App lets you search by your location for nearby results. And you can search via voice—no typing needed.

You know those funky, multicolor barcode-like "tags" popping up on movie posters, flyers, in magazines and just about everywhere else? They're meant to quickly provide cell-phone users with additional information on a given subject, and they're really quite cool. But they're also useless if you don't have an app that can translate them into Web links, like Microsoft's free Tag Reader. Simply snap a pic of the tag using the free app and you're golden.

But like most things in life, the best BlackBerry downloads don't come free--with the exception of the following six applications. They include a free mobile RSS reader that delivers whatever feeds you select in real time; an uber search application that scans everything from websites to online telephone directories to local business listings; an invaluable travel tool that provides so much information it gives new meaning to the phrase "don't leave home without it"; a mapping application that provides satellite images of any location in the world, along with driving directions, traffic updates and local search for many regions; and two mobile applications that keep you connected to your favorite social networking sites anywhere you can fire up your BlackBerry.

Today, just about every website worth visiting has an RSS (really simple syndication) feed or feeds that serve up fresh content to RSS readers so users don't even need to type in a Web addresses to find the content they seek. There are a plethora of choices for desktop and notebook computer users, but there aren't very many mobile readers that deliver the same quality--especially free readers. That's what makes Viigo special. Viigo provides instant access to any RSS feed available on the Web via an easy to read and aesthetically-pleasing interface. And it supports the popular Google Reader service so users can import existing collections of RSS feeds from computers to mobile devices.

The application works with any BlackBerry or Windows Mobile device, and its preserves their user interfaces so there are no new navigation techniques or tricks to learn or get accustomed to. Viigo's simple interface lets users add any feed or "channel" they wish by simply pasting in the feed's Web address, and the application offers some 2,500 pre-selected channels. Viigo pushes feed updates to users' handhelds and stores them on the devices so content can be accessed without cellular connectivity.

Viigo Standard Edition (SE) is free for download from the company's site, and there are two versions you need to buy: Viigo Publisher is meant to help content producers or publishers mobilize and easily present their content, and Viigo Corporate Edition (CE) is designed to assist enterprises in provide necessary information to employees via mobile device.
